2 works selected for calendar

Two photographs from my current photo project have been selected for the 2009 “Images of Hometowns” calendar. The calendar will be sold this fall to help raise money for the HAMMERS emergency home repair program of the Davidson Housing Coalition.

Jurors Christopher Record and Bill Giduz selected a total of 13 works for this year's calendar. It's the third year I'll have work in the annual fund-raising calendar.

“DCPC at Dusk,” and “March Madness on Main Street” will be featured for the months of January and March. An exhibit of all the photos from the 2009 calendar will be on display this fall at Davidson Town Hall. Sales of the calendar have not begun. For the latest, check the Davidson Housing Coalition website.

2008 Art on the Green

LAURA SMITH photo

Thanks to all who stopped by my booth at the 2008 Art on the Green festival, on the Village Green in downtown Davidson. I was one of a collection of artists and craftspeople selected by Ce Scott, director of residencies and exhibitions at The McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte.

If you have inquiries about any of the work you saw there or see on the site, email dboraks @ mindspring.com
